"Giants linebacker Michael Boley has been suspended without pay for the first regular-season game this fall as a result of violating the NFL Personal Conduct Policy, the league announced Tuesday.The suspension stems from Boley's spring 2008 domestic battery charge following a verbal argument with his wife, according to a source with knowledge of the violation.
Boley's suspension starts on Sept. 5 and he will be eligible to return to the active roster on Sept. 14, the day after the Giants' season opener against the Redskins. He is eligible to participate in preseason practices and games but was expected to miss 8 to 10 weeks following June 24 surgery to repair a torn labrum in his hip."
