The NCAA defines a secondary violation as "isolated or inadvertent," and the matter is considered closed, the Athens (Ga.) Banner-Herald reported.
Georgia self-reported the violation, but redacted player names in documents.
Georgia fullback Shaun Chapas told the newspaper that Stafford received four tickets to the Denver Broncos-Atlanta Falcons game at the Georgia Dome on Nov. 16. Stafford asked then-Broncos quarterback Jay Cutler for the tickets, according to the newspaper.
The players that received tickets, valued at $40 each, made donations to the Boys and Girls Club of Athens to cover the cost.
"We had to pay the money back for the tickets, which is fine," Chapas is quoted as saying."
